Hi! I graduated from Michigan State's College of Veterinary Medicine in 1981 and soon after left for warmer climes like California and North Carolina. I just couldn't stay away though and chose to come back to Michigan and settle in Grass Lake -- it is a wonderful place to live and work. My special passion at work is dentistry -- I love to see how improving oral health can add energy and happiness to pets. I enjoy singing, hiking, reading and traveling to experience the beauty and wonders of nature. My husband and I are completely well trained by our pets -- Mango our Amazon parrot and Dacy our black lab.

Our Veterinarians

Dr Sandi Danes DVM

I was the kid that was always dragging home animals…turtles, tadpoles, salamanders, a few Garter snakes – but my mother drew the line when I tried to bring a mouse in the house! Even at eight years old, I knew I would be a veterinarian. That lifelong goal became a reality when I graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. My professional passion has always been surgery, but I also really enjoy the partnerships that develop with clients over years of helping them to care for their pets. On a personal note, I love to be outdoors whenever and wherever possible. I also enjoy a good book and the produce from a good vegetable garden. Right now, I am in service to 2 dogs, a few horses and some unknown number of barn cats…they don’t eat much, right?
