Working with animals has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I have been in the veterinary field since 2002 and a part of Grass Lake Animal Hospital team since 2007. I graduated from Baker College of Jackson’s Veterinary Technician Program in June of 2012 making me a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). I have lived in the Grass Lake area most of my life and have lots of friends and family close by. When I’m not at work taking care of your pets, I am spending time with mine. I have a very sweet Pit Bull Terrier named Takoda. I have also owned many exotic types of animals and am very comfortable around just about any of them in the veterinary field. I enjoy spending time with my teenage son Justin. I also like being outdoors, cooking, volunteering, and gardening.

I have been around animals my whole life so joining the Grass Lake Animal Hospital team in 2013 was the perfect fit for me. I can't remember a time when I didn't have pets, ranging from cats to bunnies to lizards. My grandpa was a dairy farmer so I also spent a great deal of time on his farm when I was younger, enjoying the outdoors and learning about his trade. I live in Grass Lake with my two cats, both of which are rescues. I got Murphy from the Jackson County Animal Shelter, and he is the sweetest boy ever, he just loves to love. Ophelia was actually dropped off at our hospital when she was very young and very sick. I ended up taking her home and she has been a welcome addition to my family. If I'm not here you can usually find me with family or friends. I have two nephews, Henry and Jacob who are my world. I also enjoy reading, football (Go Pack Go!), and cooking.

Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine and it is an incredible feeling when a passion and a career can come together. I am currently studying to become a veterinary technician. I fell in love with veterinary medicine a few years ago when my childhood dog became ill and needed a lot of medical care. The compassion I received during those hard times drew me in and before I knew it I had started working as a veterinary assistant helping other animals and their families through their medical needs. When I am not working or studying I live in Jackson with a herd of my own animals including 3 dogs and 4 cats. Over the years I have also owned a variety of small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and even sugar glider.
