Working with animals has always been a dream of mine since I was a little girl. I have been in the veterinary field since 2002 and a part of Grass Lake Animal Hospital team since 2007. I graduated from Baker College of Jackson’s Veterinary Technician Program in June of 2012 making me a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT). I have lived in the Grass Lake area most of my life and have lots of friends and family close by. When I’m not at work taking care of your pets, I am spending time with mine. I have a very sweet Pit Bull Terrier named Takoda. I have also owned many exotic types of animals and am very comfortable around just about any of them in the veterinary field. I enjoy spending time with my teenage son Justin. I also like being outdoors, cooking, volunteering, and gardening.

I have been around animals my whole life so joining the Grass Lake Animal Hospital team in 2013 was the perfect fit for me. I can't remember a time when I didn't have pets, ranging from cats to bunnies to lizards. My grandpa was a dairy farmer so I also spent a great deal of time on his farm when I was younger, enjoying the outdoors and learning about his trade. I live in Grass Lake with my two cats, Murphy Bean and Ophelia, both of which are rescues. I'm the crazy cat lady (but yes, I also LOVE dogs), and if you don't believe me, my whole bathroom is decorated in cats. If I'm not here you can usually find me with family or friends. I have two nephews, Henry and Jacob who are my world. I also enjoy reading, football (Go Pack Go!), and riding my motorcycle.

Caring for animals has always been a passion of mine and it is an incredible feeling when a passion and a career can come together. I am currently studying to become a veterinary technician. I fell in love with veterinary medicine a few years ago when my childhood dog became ill and needed a lot of medical care. The compassion I received during those hard times drew me in and before I knew it I had started working as a veterinary assistant helping other animals and their families through their medical needs. When I am not working or studying I live in Jackson with a herd of my own animals including 3 dogs and 4 cats. Over the years I have also owned a variety of small animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, and even sugar glider.
